1. Upgraded Technology
With the innovation in technology Longi makes major upgrades in their new solar panel cells. Hi-MO 7 has entered the PV cell market with a major HPDC (High Performance and Hybrid Passivated Dual-Junction Cell) upgrade. It is an advancement in old technology previously known as HPC.
HPDC is introduced to provide dual junction which will help these solar panels to utilise more and more sunlight. That means, power generation would increase and we will experience more efficiency. There are more benefits of HPDC:

2. Performance Optimisation

Hi-MO 7 module has a standard size of dimensions 2,382mm * 1,134mm with increased power capacity to 610 Watt. With a new 72c version, although there is a slight increase in size but it’s performance has increased significantly from 2W to 3W as compared to it’s previous 66c version.

With the introduction of passivation techniques, more and more energy can be made useful. As per LONGi statement, Hi-MO 7 is designed to convert maximum solar energy into electrical energy, minimising internal resistance and generating considerable amount of power.
4. Higher Bifacial Rate (~80%)
It is a bifacial solar panel that is capable of generating electricity from front as well as from rear side of solar panel. It has bi-facial rate of 80% which mean it can generate 80% electricity from sunlight which is 3% more than other solar panels. This conversion rate is outstanding as compared to other types of solar panels.
5. Better Temperature coefficient (-0.28%/°C)
It is common that solar panels output power is effected by increasing temperature. Hi-MO 7 has the best temperature coefficient value of -0.28% per centigrade. But, what does it mean? It means that it only degrades 0.28% of it’s total efficiency with one degree rise in temperature.
Solar panels provides their best efficiency at 25°C. If we take this temperature as a reference value, it indicates that Hi-MO 7 PV cell will only degrades 7% of it’s total efficiency even in 50°C. (0.28*25°C =7%)
6. Low light performance and life-span
You may have observed that the performance of solar panels decreases in low light. Hi-MO 7 is best low light performer that can generate electricity even on cloudy day. On the other hand it has very low performance degradation of 0.4% per year. It enables us to use it for longer time period without any significant drop in performance.
